Leadership
NuxFamily is led by the engineers who founded it. The leadership team has spent its careers designing and operating private cloud and data platforms for regulated institutions, and it still works directly with clients. Below are the leaders and the roles that make up the delivery organisation.
Javier López
CEO / Head of Business Development
Javier leads NuxFamily and its commercial relationships with financial institutions in Europe and Nigeria. He has spent more than two decades in enterprise infrastructure and cloud platforms, working with banks and large corporations on private cloud programmes. He is responsible for the NuxFamily presence in Nigeria.
Diego Fernández
COO / Head of Services and Operations
Diego runs services delivery and operations, including the support organisation and the migration methodology used across engagements. His background is in platform engineering and operations for regulated environments, from virtualisation to Kubernetes and data platforms. He owns the delivery quality of every NuxFamily project.

Lead Platform Architect
Reference architectures for virtualisation, Kubernetes and PaaS layers
Designs the target platform for each engagement: VMware or Nutanix foundations, OpenShift, Tanzu or Rancher clusters, Cloud Foundry, networking and storage. Certified on OpenShift, Tanzu and Rancher, with production experience in banking. Leads design reviews and the technical side of CBN audits.

Head of Data Engineering
Databases, streaming, lakehouse and governance
Owns the data layer: PostgreSQL with Patroni, Kafka, Greenplum and Apache Cloudberry, Apache Iceberg, OpenSearch and OpenMetadata. Has delivered payment data platforms with lineage and audit requirements for insurers and banks, and leads NuxData Intelligence deployments.

Nigeria Delivery Lead
On-site delivery, data centre coordination and client operations in Lagos and Abuja
Coordinates delivery in Nigeria: local data centre partners, on-site engineers, cut-over windows and the client's operations team. Acts as the first point of contact for clients during migration and the primary link to the European centre of excellence for escalations.
